Flagging up progress!

Textiles studioKirsty Mason, Design Studio Supervisor at BMS Products, discusses the progress the company has made in the past five years.

"Entering into my fifth golf season with BMS I was excited and, admittedly, a little anxious about the busy months ahead.

Since my first season I have witnessed the progression each year and have been impressed at how many new customers have joined us, not to mention the repeat business year after year.

Last year we made the move to the next level, cleverly investing in key areas such as the design studio, and I am proud to say that the results have been outstanding.

New equipment, additional staff, extended working areas and a lot of blood, sweat and tears (literally), have seen our textiles production more than triple throughout 2011 and into 2012, resulting in excess of 600 square metres of printed golf flags being produced each month.

The BMS design studio has grown from being an add on section to the BMS group producing short run textiles and course etiquette signs, to a fully established manufacturing division securing new contracts and smashing all previous year's sales figures.

Last year we were selected to be key manufactures of textiles products to some of the most prestigious golf events worldwide, such as Solheim Cup and the Open Championships, and we are looking forward to being involved again this year.

It's not just the volume of textiles that we are now producing that make us one of the UK's leaders in Golf fags, it's also the quality of our materials, attention to detail, processes used, turn-around times, and also the hard work put in by our strong design and production team.

Since taking on the role of Design Supervisor, I have been able to build a strong team, a strong customer base and, with the support of the design team, have taken the department to the next stage, introducing creativity and an extended product portfolio.

The design studio now produce a range of events products such as internal/external pop-up displays, advertising boards, banners and corporate merchandise. All produced in-house.

Because all of our products are made in-house we are able to oversee the entire creative process from initial enquiry, to proofing, to final product, and we are able to produce custom products to give your course that unique touch.

Here's to another exciting year!"
