HARDI Swift SP 80 (Utility drive)

Press Releasein Industry News
HARDI Ltd has developed the SWIFT SP 80 UTILITY DRIVE VEHICLE designed to take a range of sprayer and load options.

The need for a compact multi purpose utility vehicle capable of performing a number of tasks is apparent within the Professional Ground Care, Turf Care, Landscaping and Amenity sectors. The Swift SP 80 has all the answers.

HUD chassis
Based on the unique pollution free HUD electric drive chassis with quiet drive system and height adjustable vibration free handles reduces operator fatigue. With an estimated 6 hours running time the control panel also features a battery charge level indicator and is delivered with a quick couple charger. The Sprayer pack carries a 80 litre tank and has options for Conventional 3.5m boom, 20m Retractable Hose fed or 3m Defender shrouded boom as well as various wheel barrow and flatbed options for transporting a wide range of materials over rough ground. The HUD is highly manoeuvrable and easy to operate and comes complete with mains charger. Adjustable forward and reverse speeds ensure the speed can be matched to the task, with a maximum speed of 4km/h.

Spray Pack
All spray packs come complete with an 80 litre Polyethylene tank, which are chemical resistant, easy to clean and shock resistant. A 14 l/min pump complete with pressure control are standard.

Swift SP 80 D, 3m Defender boom
The 3m Defender is easily folded for transport within the width of the front shroud (130 cm) Single snap fit nozzles are standard and each nozzle has a flow indicator showing if a blockage is present. A hand lance with 5m hose can be added as an option for spot treatment. Ideal for Ground care applications where spray drift reduction is required.
The 3m Defender boom not only has LERAP 3 star rating but is the only boom on the market that has achieved 3 star rating using standard nozzles. This gives far more flexibility with the choice of chemicals that can be used, if a fine or medium spay quality be demanded and conditions are such that would not allow the use of a conventional sprayer the Defender Boom can still be used. A 3 star rated nozzle demands that it must achieve a 75% reduction of drift to that of an equivalent standard nozzle, this is achieved by creating coarser droplets ie:- Coarse or Very Coarse spray droplets.
The Defender has been tested to the equivalent of a 95% reduction of drift using both fine and medium spray quality nozzles.
