Dealing with the snow and ice

Here's an ideal combination for dealing with the snow and ice, clearing the way and simultaneously treating with salt and grit.

On the front is the Wessex snow plough, one of the Country compact tractor attachment range. Attached to the tractor's weight frame with a universal style linkage the poly blade is 40mm thick and housed in a sturdy steel frame with optional spring loaded break-back protection. It's just the job as a quickly mounted solution when the snow starts to fall, for keeping drives and access areas clear and safer.

The blade is lifted and lowered via a single hydraulic ram and the blade can be angled either manually or with the optional hydraulic angling kit. There are two sizes of snow blade blades available in 1.5m and 1.9m widths. On the back of the tractor is the SnowEx Bulk-Pro utility spreader, utilising a tractor mount TPM-275 three-point hitch for compact tractors.

This is a high capacity spreader with horizontal auger and offset disc for increased efficiency and versatility. It's operated with a dual variable speed/spread width controller with a vibrator fitted as standard. Designed to provide a highly cost-effective winter risk management system, the SnowEx spreaders feature a 12V maximum torque sealed drive unit, with no belts, pulleys, sprockets or chains to break.
