LT322_Triple_Turf__Mo[1].75621.jpgJohn O'Conner Grounds Maintenance has recently purchased another seven LT 322 triple mowers from George Browns, bringing its fleet of Hayter triple mowers to 50. Since the company was founded in 1969, John O'Conner has grown to become one of the largest privately owned independent grounds maintenance companies in the United Kingdom. The company has built its reputation on quality and reliability and has found the characteristics in Hayter products.

John O'Conner undertakes a wide variety of contacts including maintaining parks, open spaces, highway grass and housing areas as well as golf courses and bowling greens. Client organizations include local authorities, housing associations, facilities management companies, schools and universities. The largest part of the mowing operation is the 50 strong fleet of Hayter triples though the company also operates T424s, five unit cylinder mowers and nine seven unit trailed mowers.

The Hayter triples' versatility makes them ideally suited to John O'Conner's varied business but, says Rob Goater, Workshop Manager, a very important factor is the machine's low operating costs. 'The most important benefit is that almost everything is accessible from the top. This, plus the way that parts are interchangeable between machines, means that downtime is minimised and our operating costs are reduced.'

According to Rob, some operators like the LT 332 particularly for the seating position. It is high and forward making it easier to see over the front of the machine and, on some contracts, reduce the volume of debris going into it. Support from the dealer and manufacturer is very good, says Rob, with Brown's providing first class warranty work and spares service and Hayter making a valuable input into training.
