Peter Nelder John DeereJohn Deere Limited has appointed Peter Nelder as its new homeowner products territory manager, based at the company's Langar, Nottingham headquarters. He replaces Daniel Barber, who has taken up a new position as homeowner products marketing manager at John Deere European Office in Mannheim, Germany.

Peter Nelder graduated in June with an FdSc foundation degree in horticulture from Nottingham Trent University. He lives in Nottingham and is married, with one son. He has a background in sales and business development, and ran his own company for four years before deciding to study horticulture.

"I've always been interested in horticulture and gardening, as has my family," says Peter. "I will be spending the next few months learning John Deere's systems and processes and getting to know the homeowner dealers, as well as managing the launch of the Tango autonomous lawnmower in the UK and Ireland. It's quite a challenge, but I'm up for it!"

The Tango E5 autonomous lawnmower is one of over 100 new agricultural and turf products recently launched by John Deere for 2012. The company's homeowner products range includes a comprehensive range of domestic and commercial walk-behind lawnmowers, scarifiers, zero-turn mowers, lawn tractors and the CX Gator utility vehicle.
