New LDCA Website hits another level

Forging forward, the Land Drainage Contractors Association (LDCA) is increasing awareness of its services through the launch of a new user-friendly website. From the 1st July the site will be packed with useful information relating to land drainage, sports turf drainage and water management, which will be even easier for visitors to access.

"Our aim is to provide sports providers and local authorities with key information," says Bruce Brockway, Secretary of the LDCA."Rather than just providing a list of members, if a club wants to undertake drainage of a golf course or football pitch, or slitting, or sand banding, they can source the information by category of work, or the region of the country they want the company to work in."

For clubs seeking lottery funding Bruce says: "We are a standard setting organization for workmanship and materials and these have been taken on-board by Sport England and the Football Foundation."

The first three items coming on stream are:
  • Increased classifications for contractors, manufacturers and suppliers, together with their contact details.
  • Technical specification standards required for lottery funding, with appropriate paid-for documentation which is downloadable from the website.
  • Regularly updated newspage for those who want to keep in touch with developments within the drainage industry.
Visitors to the website will be able to register to receive regular emailed Newsletters of drainage related information.

A links page will provide a route to the websites of other industry partners.

Part of a whole programme of planned additions to the site, over the next 12 to 18 months further technical and educational information will be coming on stream.

The LDCA is a trade association of specialist contractors, manufacturers, and suppliers engaged in all aspects of drainage and water management in agriculture, sportsturf, amenity, utilities, and civil engineering industries.
