HR300 working (1)Ransomes Jacobsen, a Textron Inc (NYSE: TXT) company and one of the leading manufacturers of turf maintenance equipment worldwide, launched the new Ransomes HR300, an out-front rotary mower for commercial use at Saltex.

The HR300 utilises a Kubota three-cylinder turbo-charged 33hp diesel engine. This is matched with a revised hydraulic transmission system giving more torque and power than the previous model it replaces, the HR3300T. The improved transmission efficiency provides an out-front rotary or flail mower with superior hill climbing ability. There's a choice of wheel widths for even better stability and an operator platform that has improved accessibility.

Three cutting decks are available with cutting widths of 1.5 m (60"), 1.6 m (63") and 1.83 m (72"), each featuring three independent hydraulic motors providing enough power to produce a constant blade tip speed, eliminating 'lazy blade' syndrome, which is often caused by slippage on belt-driven decks. These perfectly matched decks with the tractor unit provide exceptional performance in wide range of grass conditions.

The HR300 has been also been designed to accommodate the Wessex ProLine TGX-H flail mower, a robustly constructed hydraulically-powered unit with a 1.5m working width. It cuts long grass on roadside verges with ease, yet also leaves a premium finish on sports turf. It follows ground contours accurately using a combination of front-mounted jockey wheels and full width rear roller and features simple cutting height adjustment.

HR300 working (2)A considerably lower serviceability index, fewer moving parts and significantly less lubrication points than competitor machines makes the HR300 easy to maintain. It also has excellent storage with optional storage pods and tank-mounted carry racks for tools and other items.

For the operator there's reduced noise and vibration, significantly less than with shaft-driven machines; a fully adjustable control pod in the armrest for precise finger-tip control; push-button weight transfer and a suspension seat with adjustable back rest/lumber support. A fully adjustable steering column allows for easy access onto the operating platform.

The Ransomes HR330 is the leader in its class with 18cm (7") kerb climbing ability and is highly manoeuvrable and easy to transport from one area to another. It comes with full CE approval and a two year manufacturer's warranty.
