Peak of Achievement

Buxton High Peak Golf Club in Derbyshire has increased the efficiency of its top-dressing operations thanks to the precision and versatility of its new Dakota 410.

Supplied by Campey Turf Care Systems of Macclesfield, the Dakota 410's width of spread can be set anywhere between 2 metres to 9 metres, handling heavy and light dressings. All settings can be adjusted from the operator's seat by electro hydraulic controls, saving time and boosting efficiency.

Steve Norton, High Peak's Head Greenkeeper, evaluated several different spinner-type top-dressers before deciding that the Dakota 410 was the best. "Some models on the market try to over-complicate the job with pre-set angles and settings, but none comes close to the accuracy and quality the Dakota offers."

"With the Dakota 410, I can fine-tune operations in order to improve the greens and tees at High Peak. They will benefit from regular light top-dressing combined with aeration work."

The Dakota 410 is offered in several versions. Steve Norton chose a dedicated unit that fits on to the Club's Toro Workman utility vehicle. Other variants that fit different vehicles are available, as well as tractor-towed models.
