polaris team.jpgAll-terrain specialist Polaris and the NFU have renewed their partnership for 2010 offering a special package to both NFU members and non-members.
The NFU have teamed up with Polaris to offer NFU members a 5% discount on Polaris ATVs and Ranger vehicles.

Members purchasing a Polaris Ranger 4x4 EFI for example can save nearly £400 on the list price. All they need to do is call NFU CallFirst to register and a unique Polaris 5% off voucher will be sent in the post.

This is then presented at the Polaris dealership along with their NFU Membership Card and ID. The 5% is in addition to any discount negotiated with the Polaris dealer and will be incorporated into the vehicle price at the time of purchase.

For non-NFU members Polaris and the NFU are giving away free NFU Countryside membership worth £99 with each ATV or Ranger sold. On purchase of a Polaris ATV or Ranger non-members will receive three years membership absolutely free.

EASI does it with Polaris

polaris-dec-09-074_website.jpgATV and quad manufacturer Polaris is working with EASI, the European All-Terrain Vehicle Safety Institute to offer free ATV training for Polaris customers.

EASI is a non profit making organisation founded in 2002 to implement a European wide programme of all-terrain vehicle safety education training and awareness. EASI is supported by the major ATV manufacturers and on average twenty-eight courses are conducted every month, with 34 active Rider Course Instructors offering training throughout the UK.

Their introductory ATV safety course covers safe riding techniques, safety clothing, protective personal equipment, pre-ride inspections, risk assessment and environmental issues. Riders wishing to learn how to reverse, tow and load their ATV can add QVC's Generic Loading, Towing and Reversing (GLTR) module. Anyone considering buying or using an ATV should take the training course just in the same way as learning to safely drive a car or ride a motorcycle.

EASI approved ATV operator training includes specialised modules for agriculture, the police and military, sports and corporate leisure, construction, geological surveying and children. Coming developments will be a Side x Side training module and a requirement for a quadricycle module.

Some users, both for work and leisure, may require further training for specialist applications in addition to the initial EASI Rider Course. Information on the courses can be obtained from Polaris and their dealers. Polaris Britain 0800 915 6720 www. polaris-britain.com EASI can be contacted on 01903 816286 www.quadsafety.org
