Amenity Forum
On Thursday October 16th, the annual conference of the Amenity Forum is being held at Leicester City Football Club. An excellent range of speakers has been assembled to address topical issues and the current challenges when dealing with weed, pest and disease control.

There will also be an exhibition area where delegates can visit the stands and ask questions and see at first hand recent developments. The conference attracts its audience from across all aspects of this diverse and important sector and is aimed at everyone involved in whatever way.

At this year's event, a number of new initiatives and launches are planned relating to such areas as continuing professional development, new requirements for sprayer testing, counterfeit products and improved and enhanced guidance material.

The Amenity Forum is the voluntary initiative for amenity promoting best practice and is recognised as the voice for the sector on matters relating to weed, pest and disease control. It is vital that all involved in amenity stay in control and demonstrate their commitment to best practice.

The conference has already attracted a great number of delegates but you still have a few days left to secure a place by contacting conference@amenityforum.net . Delegate rates are £50 or, for members £45.

Amenity Forum Chairman, John Moverley, said '' These are challenging and changing times and it is important for the sector to work together with one voice on matters relating to weed, pest and disease control. Our annual conference is an opportunity for all involved to assemble, network and debate the key issues. Above all the attendance demonstrates the commitment of our sector to best practice and continuing to drive up standards''
