DSCF4466The Grass Group unveiled a revolutionary new, complete fine turf management solution at BTME 2011.

An industry first, the fully floating INFiNiPower walk behind system from Advanced Turf Technology (ATT) is fully compatible with the company's TMSystem, offering a complete range of turf management tools in one highly efficient package, allowing the user to carry out a multitude of tasks all with one power unit.

The secret of the INFiNiPower's versatility lies in The Chassis, a clever system that allows the different cassettes to be changed over in as little as 10 seconds.

Greenkeepers can rest assured that brushing their greens will be a quick and easy operation due to the Rotary Brush cassette. Slotting easily into the systems' chassis, the bristles on the brush will not only remove surface matter but will also stand the grass 'proud'. Tim Merrell of The Grass Group commented, "This is especially useful in the winter months, as it reduces moisture levels that can leave grass vulnerable to pathogen attack".

harrogate 2011 054As an alternative to deep tine aeration, a quick change over to the Star Spiker or Sarel Roller cassettes will allow the user to create small pin prick holes in the surface, stopping it from sealing over whilst ensuring minimal disruption.

Made of lightweight aluminium and steel construction, the INFiNiPower moves effortlessly over fine turf and features a unique, patent pending floating head mechanism, which follows ground contours closely for supremely accurate tracking over the turf and even down pressure on slopes. The self correcting mechanism uses leaf spring technology, and has no wear parts for exceptional reliability and low maintenance costs.

Good news to any greenkeeper, the INFiNiPower is now available with a 7, 9 or 11 blade SMARTCut cassette. Ideal for precision cutting on greens and tees, the patented Height of Cut adjustment system with a readable dial allows the operator to easily adjust the SMARTCut cassette from an ultra short height of 1.6mm to a generous 25mm in an instant.

InfinipowerPowered by a Honda GX160 engine, the INFiNiPower is driven via an infinitely variable transmission (IVT) gearbox which gives infinite adjustment of clip rate to match all cutting requirements and conditions. This is achieved by independent control of the forward speed and cutting unit, and the user-friendly controls offer the facility to independently switch off either drive.

No detail has been neglected in the design of this advanced fine turf system - for greenkeepers with varying turf maintenance requirements, the groomer can be installed and removed in minutes with ease. It simply slides out after use allowing the roller to return to its customary position.

Grass catcher attachment is via 'shark fin' connectors for simple and secure installation.

The Grass Group's Tim Merrell says: "The INFiNiPower will change the face of fine turf care, offering superb build quality with user-friendly operation and minimal maintenance requirements. We expect it to become the industry standard where the overriding requirement is for a top quality playing surface."
