Family status? Married for 37 years with two sons, Ben and Ollie, who are both Partners in the business, plus four grandchildren and another on the way.

Who's your hero and why? Brian Clough, as I have been a lifelong Derby County Supporter.

What is your dream holiday? To travel across USA by train.

What annoys you the most? Cyclists.

What would you change about yourself? I'd like to be forty years younger.

Who wouldn't you like to be? A Crystal Palace supporter.

Favourite record, and why? Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd.

Who would you choose to spend a romantic evening with? My wife, of course.

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do? Buy a few acres of land and build a cricket ground.

If you were to describe yourself as a musical instrument, what would you be and why? A Blues guitar.

What's the best advice you have ever been given? To always try my best.

What's your favourite smell? Freshly cut grass.

What do you do in your spare time? I read history books, watch cricket and run around behind the grandchildren.

What's the daftest work related question you have ever been asked? Why is the wicket slow after six weeks of rain?

What's your favourite piece of kit? Dennis Verticut and Sisis Combirake.

What three words would you use to describe yourself? Hardworking, loyal and empathetic.

What talent would you like to have? I would like to be a brilliant blues guitarist.

What makes you angry? Customer service departments.

What law/legislation would you like to see introduced? Road cyclists having to have some sort of road tax.
