flood-006.jpg Severe weather and flood warnings are in force in many areas of the UK. Forecasters said that June's average rainfall of about 50mm could fall in many places over the next 24 hours.

An area stretching from North-East Wales through the North Midlands, Lincolnshire and Yorkshire has already received between 25 -75mm of rain in the last 48 hours with even more forecast.

It would be interesting to note what rainfall you have had at your ground and how it has affected your maintenance regimes and pitch preparations?

Keith Exton at Oakham School has recorded well over 95mm of rainfall in the last fortnight and has spent many man-hours moving covers and sheets to protect his pitches.

Let us know how much rainfall you have had and send any pictures of your flooded facilities.
