AFT multi-use trailer makes BTME debut

By James Lane

Suffolk based AFT Trenchers Ltd. will be showing their new Multi-Use Trailer on Stand B11 at the BTME Show in Harrogate. Designed to do a multitude of tasks (as the name suggests), the Multi-Use Trailer can deliver material to the right hand side, to the rear and to the front, and requires at tractor of only 28hp to operate.

An optional hydraulically driven rear spinner allows the machine to spread materials such as sand to a variety of widths; useful for top dressing fairways or sports fields. Side discharge allows accurate back filling of trenches plus a tilting body system means that the Multi-Use Trailer can fill other machines on the move or bunkers. Materials such as bark, soil and gravel can also be discharged, making the Multi-Use Trailer an ideal machine for parks and public gardens too.AFT-Multi-Use-Trailer.jpg

Using the optional front trench filling system, the Multi-Use Trailer has the ability to backfill drainage trenches with gravel or other materials, within easy view of the driver, and the filling chute folds neatly underneath when not required.

A variable speed, bi-directional conveyor ensures accurate placement of materials and with all functions under fingertip control, the driver's task is made far simpler.

A hopper capacity of 2m3 means the Multi-Use Trailer can handle large loads and work longer between fill ups, and with this weight spread over two oscillating axles and four turf tyres, minimal ground damage will occur on grass and sensitive surfaces.

AFT Trenchers Ltd. will also be showing the popular AFT 45 trencher, suited to compact tractors, plus the AFT Sandbander, which installs 25mm wide and 250mm deep drainage slits with consolidated sand.
