Local football club, Andover New Street are calling on the community for support in their goal to secure a new stand at Foxcotte Park.

The new stand will seat 100 people and have disabled access and will cost approx. £51,000. In their quest to raise the funds the club are applying to Test Valley Borough Council for a community asset fund of £25,000.

The club serves as a vital asset to the community with a variety of male and female teams at different age levels and the match days provide a brilliant local feel with the social club that adds to the experience and enjoyed by many. This new stand will add a fresher feel to the popular Foxcotte Park.

Groundsman/Executive Committee Member Paul Reidy told us "Providing and supporting local football is part of the ethos at the club and replacing the stand at Foxcotte Park is vital to enhance this further. It's great to see so many likes, comments and shares on the Facebook post already which just goes to show the incredible support the residents of Andover and visitors from elsewhere have given to the club in this venture to upgrade the facilities".

To show your support the club are asking for the publics opinion on their Facebook page to provide a strong case for their request.
