Bigcat dozer Leading sportsturf specialist, White Horse Contractors, has purchased its sixth bulldozer, a Caterpillar D5N LGP, to meet increased demand for its specialist services. The D5 was put to work immediately on the construction of a full size 3G Artificial Turf Pitch in Northampton. Fitted with the latest AccuGrade Laser technology, the D5 makes light work of the earthworks and trimming operations and with LGP tracks treads lightly across prepared ground.
White Horse Contractor's principle activity is the construction of natural and artificial sportsturf facilities, with clients including Ascot Racecourse, Chelsea Football Club, The Football Association, The Royal Parks and the England Cricket Board to name but a few.

The new D5 further strengthens the company's fleet, reinforcing their position with largest owned inventory of specialist sportsturf construction plant in the industry. It is the company's continued commitment to invest in the latest technology that has significantly contributed to the successful completion of many diverse and challenging sportsturf construction contracts.

White Horse Contractor's MD, Robert Donald says: "The requirement for this latest addition to the company's fleet was identified through the increasing demand for millimetre tolerance earthworks and constructions. When specifying our latest CAT dozer, we chose the D5N LGP for its build quality, its performance record and the AccuGrade automated machine control system. The construction of Artificial Turf Pitches and high profile natural turf facilities, such as those currently under construction for the Welsh FA training facility, Glamorgan, will all benefit from the capabilities of this machine."

White Horse Contractors is one of the UK's premiere sportsturf and water engineering specialist contracting companies. Offering a complete design and build package, it operates a comprehensive fleet of plant and equipment which is also available for hire.
