Dalziel-buggies1.jpgDalziel Park Golf and Country Club, located at Motherwell in Lanarkshire and featuring an 18-hole, par 71 course, has taken a fleet of five E-Z-GO golf cars from their local dealer, Fairways GM. E-Z-GO Textron is a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company.

Dalziel Park was originally a 9-hole course and was extended to a full 18 in 2002. Following a recent refurbishment the complex now includes a superb restaurant offering genuine Italian cuisine and full conference facilities.

Russell Weir is the General Manager and commenting on the new fleet said,
"We've added golf cars to increase the golfing experience here for both members and visitors. They are proving very popular and not just with older players. We've taken them on a contract hire basis, so know exactly what they cost per week and they are definitely contributing to the bottom line."

Golf Course Manager Stephen Briody is responsible for the fleet and added,
"We have gone for the petrol-powered TXT version of the E-Z-GO buggy as we felt that it had more power to cope with the undulations of the course. The 9hp, twin cylinder engine is probably the smoothest available and with its steel chassis and rack and pinion steering it's provides a great ride for our customers."

E-Z-GO Textron is a subsidiary of Textron Inc., an $11 billion multi-industry company operating in 32 countries with approximately 40,000 employees. The company leverages its global network of aircraft, industrial and finance businesses to provide customers with innovative solutions and services.
