The electric MPT 800 vehicle was donated by E-Z-GO to pitchcare, who used it as incentive for new subscribers to their magazine and website through a competition promoted at the BTME exhibtion at Harrogate in January.

Steve Speck was absolutely thrilled and delighted when the vehicle was presented recently at the Club's ground at Hucclecote Rugby Football Club on the outskirts of Gloucester.

"I couldn't believe it when I took the call from pitchcare to say that I had won. I'd totally forgotten that I entered the competition at BTME and was stunned when told. We are a grass roots cricket club and it will be a great tool to help us maintain the ground. We could never afford to buy one, so this is absolutely brilliant," he said.

The machine was delivered by E-Z-GO's local dealer for the area, TH White Ltd of Knockdown and handed over to Steve Speck and Club Chairman, George Adcock, by the Editor of pitchcare, Laurence Gale.

"We are very grateful to Ransomes Jacobsen, the distributors of E-Z-GO, for their generosity in providing such a superb prize for us to use as an incentive to attract new subscribers," Laurence Gale added. "We had a tremendous repsonse to the competition and I'm delighetd that the MPT has gone to a thriving club at grass roots level."Gloucester MPT65.jpg
