3 Golf clubs 'dying because players can't afford a round'

A article in the Telegraph reports that Hundreds of golf clubs throughout the UK are fighting for survival during the economic downturn as cash-strapped players cut their spending.

Growing numbers of clubs face being driven out of business as the credit crunch forces tens of thousands of golfers to ditch expensive membership fees to reduce their leisure outlay. About half the country's 2,500 clubs have lost members in the last year.
