IMG_1824.jpg Lindum's specialist grass products Grassfelt and Wildflower have helped two show gardens take gold medals at the Hampton Court Flower Show.

Grassfelt featured on both Arun Landscapes' The Unwind Garden, designed by Mike Harvey, and Playscape designed by Adam White and Andree Davies for Groundwork West London. Playscape, a design emphasizing the importance of natural elements, such as grassy mounds, trees, water and boulders as well as play equipment within children's play areas, also featured Lindum Wildflower and the company's conventional, Festival turf. Designer Andree Davies said that Grassfelt was particularly good for the mounds and steep slopes within the design. "It's a good, instant turf and because of its felt base you can cut it to any shape," she explained. "We used Lindum Wildflower around the edges of the garden because we wanted it to look wild and natural."

James Steele-Sargent, MD of Arun Landscapes who needed a circular lawn to complete The Unwind Garden, said that the quality of turf was excellent. "We cut the circle out in one piece because we didn't want any joins or shrinkage," he commented.

These latest gold medals mark four in a row for Grassfelt, which featured in Andy Sturgeon's Chelsea Flower Show gardens in 2005 and 2006.
