GREAT PERFORMANCE IN A COMPACT PACKAGE

HAVING JUST ARRIVED in this country from Japan, at IOG Saltex the latest
line-up of compact tractors from leading manufacturer, Shibaura, will include
a full production model of the ST333.
As local authorities, landscape contractors, Groundsmen and green keepers are
very concerned with the size of a compact tractor Shibaura has focused on
keeping their compacts small, without compromising on performance.
"Compacts are often getting bigger these days," says Paul Butterly, managing
director of Farm & Garden Machinery who supplies Shibaura in the UK and
Ireland.
"This is slightly smaller than the previous S338 model and its length is only
2.8 metres and it weighs in at 1.1 tonne."
Features include a larger fuel tank, to extend working periods and reduce
downtime, and a new dip stick on the axle to allow easy access for checking
oil level.
Powered by a 33hp diesel engine and conforming to all the latest emission
levels, a mid-mount deck is available for the ST333.
Mowers, tractors and power tools from Shibaura - specifically engineered for
professionals - undergo stringent testing to ensure the highest standards are
maintained.
Tanaka's power tool range, includes the NEW low vibration brush cutter TBC
4200DLV - with special Low-Vib handle system - which has been independently
put through its paces under full operating conditions. Achieving an average
of 2.1m/s2 when using the CH100 alloy head, an operator could use the machine
for more than eleven hours without risk of exposure to HAMS. Top-handled
chainsaws for arboriculturists from Tanaka will also be on show, together
with quality Harry and Ariens mowers.
