Grundfos Acquires Watermill Products Ltd

Grundfos has just signed an agreement to acquire Watermill Products Ltd. Based in the south of England. Watermill's product base comprises mainly of shower pumps, in addition they also produce a range of integral power showers and industry standard flanges.

Watermill, founded in 1982, have a predominately British customer base, though they also market their products in both Southern Ireland and Cyprus.

As water authorities are lowering pressures to help alleviate the problem of leaking underground pipes, water pressures in homes are dropping. Grundfos sees this acquisition as part of its increased effort in the home water pressure boosting market, where it is essential to be able to offer a wide range of system solutions.

Watermill are well established and well received in the UK market and their integration with Grundfos will considerably enhance the Grundfos shower pump portfolio and will compliment the wide range of pressure boosting pumps Grundfos currently market. The new range will be sold in tandem with Grundfos products and will be known as the Grundfos Watermill Range.

Grundfos Pumps Ltd is a UK leader in pumps and pump systems for domestic, commercial building services and process industry applications, as well as being a major supplier to the water supply and treatment industries and provider of packaged fire sets. It is part of the Grundfos Group who employ over 13,000 people in sales and production roles in 71 countries worldwide. They have an annual turnover of £1 billion+. Founded in Denmark in 1945, the Group produces over 10 million pumps per year covering about 50% of the world circulator market.
