Hot off the press is Lely UK’s new Toro Training Guide 2011-12.

Toro Training Guide 2011 12Containing full details of the Toro distributor's industry-leading training courses, the latest line-up of learning opportunities offers even greater choice and value for Toro customers keen to further their skills.

Together with the company's hugely popular Toro operator training courses, which can be taken at Lely's St Neots headquarters or held at customers' premises, and can also include NPTC-certification upon successful completion of an assessment, there's a host of challenging courses to choose from.

Top training picks include a fleet management course aimed at turf professionals responsible for managing a Toro fleet, which promises to improve their management practices and spans routine paperwork plus health and safety requirements. A one-and-a-half-day session covering the fundamentals of Toro sprayer application machinery is another firm favorite, while the more advanced chemical application course is ideal for those wishing to gain NPTC PA1 or PA2 accreditation.

And brand new to Lely's 2011-12 training line-up is the 'Train the Trainer' course, an innovative scheme that allows experienced machinery operators to develop their own instructional skills in order to offer in-house training. Saving customers valuable time and money, the scheme is particularly suited to larger golf courses/venues where the ability to train staff to suit their own requirements and schedules is of huge benefit.

Launching the new guide, head of Toro training Ian Sumpter says: "Ongoing and high-quality training is the lifeblood of our industry and is essential to getting the most out of Toro machinery, so we're delighted to launch such a strong and inspiring range of courses. And with the job market set to get tougher, improving your skills can only stand turf professionals in good stead for the future, so we look forward to welcoming even more customers onto our courses in 2011 and beyond."
