Toro NSN SitePro trainingSome of the country's leading golf clubs, sports and amenity venues recently attended a special training course, hosted by Toro distributor Lely UK at the Wyboston Lakes conference centre in Bedfordshire, designed to help them get the most out of their Toro SitePro irrigation system.

Led by The Toro Company USA National Support Network (NSN) irrigation field trainer, Jay Bentivegna, and Phil Chadwick from Lely's Toro Irrigation technical support team, the intermediate-level course explored the many features and benefits of the SitePro central control system - one of the most widely-used systems in the golf industry today.

In total, 34 greenkeepers and groundsmen from venues including the National Golf Centre at Woodhall Spa, Turnberry Resort, Bearwood Lakes Golf Club and The K Club Golf Resort in Kildare attended the two-day course, keen to improve their operator skills and learn troubleshooting techniques.

Commenting on the course's success, Phil says: "The course was very well received, with attendees saying that they now have the confidence to make fine-adjustments to their watering schedules and optimise their watering, thanks to the in-depth training. It just goes to show what great results can be achieved by investing a relatively small amount of time and budget in exploring SitePro's potential - especially when coupled with the benefits of Toro's 24/7 NSN support service, which we also covered."

Such was the success of the SitePro training course, it will now become a regular on the Lely Toro training calendar. For more information - or to request a copy of Lely's Toro Training Guide 2011-12 - call 01480 226800 or email toro.training.uk@lely.com.
