New Toro Line Painter launches at Saltex

Toro debuts what it describes as a revolutionary new line marker at Saltex. What sets the Line Painter 1200 apart from other painters, says the company, is that it requires no regular manual cleaning between stops. This is because it's fitted with Toro's unique new Express Clean System, featuring an on-board fresh water tank that cleans the line and nozzle at the flick of a switch. So the operator can take a break!

It all means that sports fields and other facilities can be painted easier, faster and cleaner than ever before.

The unit is also easy to fill via a 12in-wide opening and strainer. And it has a generous 12-gallon paint tank - large enough for the painter to mark two football pitches in one go.

A 6.5hp Kawasaki petrol engine powers the machine. It has three-speed transmission. First and second gears are for painting - maximum painting speed is 3.4 km/h - and third gear for transport.

The Line Painter 1200 is fitted with a floating spray head to ensure an even application and consistent line width even on uneven surfaces. The head is located near the rear wheel. This improves line straightness in two important ways: by spraying from a steadier position; and increasing reaction time for operator adjustments. For added precision, and to accommodate every sport, the spray nozzle adjusts to produce line widths from 2 to 6in (5.1 to 15.2cm).

The new machine makes it easy to create perfect lines, circles and arcs. Additionally, an innovative gearshift and handle makes it more controllable than any competitor; while a front-pivoting caster wheel moves effortlessly in any direction and then locks in place for straight lines.

The Line Painter 1200 will be available to order at Saltex.
