Our Industry Knows The Score
It's clearly not just providing excellent sports and amenity surfaces that Pitchcare members and customers are talented at. From the performance from all those entering the DLF & Pitchcare Fantasy Football League 2010\ 2011, it is obvious that there is plenty of us that know our sport too, with the league currently ranked 1,302 out of a total 213,461.
Well over 100 customers and members signed up for a chance to claim part of £850 total prize money - with the league being sponsored by DLF Trifolium and Pitchcare.com. Currently running away at the top is Mr Robert Hogarth from Cathcart Castle Golf Club who impressively ranks 4,514 out a total of 2,240,827 players world wide.
The top of the league is also represented by Manchester City Groundstaff with a close fought battle between Gary Conway (4th) and Lee Jackson (20th). Top scoring players are for the league are Chelsea's Didier Drogba and Florent Malouda both with 65 points whilst the leading Defender is Ashley Cole and Goalkeeper is Petr Cech tells the tale of the top of the premiership so far. If you are looking for bargains, West Brom are this year's surprise package, with Chris Brunt gathering an impressive tally of 46 points and the South West genius that is Ian Holloway can thank Charlie Adam (47 points) for contributing much to Blackpool's respectable start. Spurs' Rafael Van Der Vaart has made a late impact and there are surely plenty more twists and turns to keep us all with a chance of some prize money even if you are languishing behind Pitchcare's Peter Britton Meldrew Academicals (101st) it's football and you never know when the hand of god or 'Ze' moving goal line might just occur!
Reminder that all participants can make transfers by logging in here: fantasy.premierleague.com and there is a bonus of £100 to the top team of Groundsmen or Greenkeepers that accumulate the most average points.
