Pitchcare present at the Racecourse Association Racing & Turf Management seminar

Pitchcare were delighted to attend and present at the RCA Racing & Turf Management seminar, which took place at the Forest of Arden Marriott Hotel and Country Club on the 11th and 12th of February

The Racecourse Association, formed in 1907, is the trade association for British racecourses. They aim to promote the highest professional standard in racecourse management, Health and Safety, medical and vetinary best practice, as well as promoting racecourse interests within the racing community, assisting racecourses to comply with regulations, and providing information, training and support.

Dan Hughes, Marketing and Sales Director, accompanied by James Grundy, Technical Manager, visited the Turf Management Seminar. The day consisted of a seminar programme by industry experts, and a dinner in the evening.

Pitchcare were invited to present about Community Engagement from a business perspective and Dan talked about how work with local charities and sports associations improve the business's profile and relationships with key stakeholders.

The day also consisted of a tour of the impressive Aylesford course and the group were educated by Golf Course Estate Manager, Rob Rowson. Rob shared his experience on the management of the resort's two 18 hole golf course facilities designed by Donald Steel, including the challenges presented by black deer which freely roam the back 9 holes of the Arden Championship Course.

Richard Bradley, Head Groundsman at Great Yarmouth Racecourse, was the winner of a draw held by the Pitchcare team, and won four sets of Helly Hansen Waterloo Waterproofs for his team.
