Dennis set to repeat Bowls seminar success

Dennis, the manufacturers of specialist grounds maintenance equipment for professionals, are to run more one-day Bowling Green Maintenance seminars that will be free of charge to all interested turf managers from private clubs, local authorities and contractors. The seminars will follow similar events staged by the company earlier in the year, which were enthusiastically received.

Taking a broad view of the subject, Dennis have organised an impressive line-up of speakers from major suppliers, including the seed breeders Barenbrug UK, and machinery maintenance company Mitchell Industries. After demonstrations of the latest machinery available for bowling green care, professionals will provide advice on a wide range of subjects including details of modern grass cultivars for bowls turf, bowling green diseases and equipment maintenance schedules. Finance options for cost-effective machine purchase will be discussed, with guest speaker Ian Henderson of Golf Finance.

Special guest speakers will present papers covering winter bowling green maintenance essentials, including Dave Bracey, Head Groundsman at the Metropolitan Police Sports Ground in Hayes, Kent and Carl Pass, Director of "Premier Pitches". The day includes complementary lunch and refreshments.

These seminars will take place on Wednesday 24th September in Nottingham and on Wednesday October 1st in Wakefield. To book your place and receive information on the seminar topics and guest speakers attending in your area, contact Dennis' Jane Marsh on 01332 824777.
