Anne Wilsonin Consultancy

STRI Scotland offers you independent help and support for your golf course and sports surfaces, including design, construction and irrigation consultancy services to compliment the full range of turfgrass advisory activities.

2007 has seen a busy time for our Scottish team. Work on The Castle Course at St Andrews Links is progressing nicely and is due to open in the Spring 2008. Over the past year, our Scottish team have also provided regular agronomic advice to the prestigious development at The Renaissance Club, Archerfield, also scheduled to open in Spring 2008.

Finally, the Summer of 2007 will be best remembered for the Open Championship at Carnoustie. As Official Agronomists to The R&A Championship Committee, STRI worked closely with John Philp and his team in the lead up and during the event. Our involvement helped make Carnoustie one of the best conditioned Championship courses in history.

Join us on Wednesday November 7 at 10:30am and 2:30pm, for a free seminar "Where the Art meets the Science", in which Dr Ian McClements, STRI Area Manager for Scotland, and Dr Simon Watson will be providing an overview of the latest scientific techniques used in effective sportsturf maintenance and management. The presentation will focus on the array and necessity of laboratory analyses employed in construction and management of sportsturf surfaces.

To find out more from STRI and discuss what the team can do to optimise the playing quality of your sports facility, do come and find us on our stand G12 during the show.
