ALS Celebrates 20 years with New Premises

Amenity Land Services Ltd of Telford is celebrating completing its 20th year in business with a move to larger, modern, custom built premises at Allscott near Wellington, Telford. The move comes after outgrowing the premises where the company started in business 20 years ago this January with just six staff at Long Lane Farm, Wellington.

ALS now employ over 35 staff and have developed specialist divisions for sportsturf and for landscape & forestry planting products, creating a year round business. This is supported by a substantial contract division that supplies and applies products for customers and renovates and drains sportsturf, together with an extensive weed control operation. The company has built up an extremely prestigious group of customers that regularly call on it for amenity products and use its contract services.

ALS has also developed a unique range of specialist products such as its Rubberloc® tree support range and EasySpray® KSU CDA sprayers which it both manufactures and markets direct to end-users. Its Mycorrmax® compost, a product from its ALS Natural Solutions® product range, is used by a number of gold award winners for the Britain in Bloom and the European Entente Florale competitions. Founders Bob Bolland and Jonathan Carr feel the company is now well equipped for its next phase of expansion.
