Profihopper 4WDi d0 ap2125With Windsor just around the corner you are cordially invited to Stand S35 to see the new Profi-hoppers from AMAZONE Groundcare.

With turf maintenance just one of the many facets of AMAZONE Groundcare, Stand S35 at IOG Saltex will also give you the chance to catch up on the full range of winter salt spreaders - EKS & E+S - which will also be on display. The AMAZONE spreader range will cope not just with winter spreading, but is also perfectly at home all year round for top dressing greens, tees and green approaches, spreading sand on polo pitches or for just fertilising parks and fairways, a true all-rounder.

On the landscape combinations, there is the multi-functional GNK seeder box system that can be used in conjunction with a range of soil tillage tools; from the stone burier set-up that can take a building site to a lawn in just one pass or the combination of rotary harrow, or reciprocating har-row, to grass over new sports pitches, green areas or motorway embankments right through to the GBK Overseeder system. The GBK takes rejuvenating worn goal mouths and side lines on football pitches, or perking up areas in parks and gardens that suffer from too much footfall, in its stride.

The Groundkeeper range of Exact cutting rotor flail mower collectors, recently expanded with the 40 km/h GHS Drive models from 1.5 m up to 2.1 m, still offers the most flexibility in all operational applications; leaf collection, scarifying, litter collection, mowing, mulching, collecting, horse pad-dock clearing, wild flower area maintenance, rough brush cutting, heather management schemes, you name it, it does it without thinking and it comes in working widths from 1.2 to 2.1 m.

However, star of the Show this year will be the two new Profihoppers; awarded two silver medals at the recent 'demopark' show and designated as i for intelligent, the i-Drive and 4WDi models will add further strength to the PH range. Developed to run alongside the existing lever-steer PH 04 which for many applications is still the ideal solution, the two new models now come complete with steering wheel. Now with 0-radius turn, the i-Drive and 4WDi adopt a new unique combination of front wheel hydrostatic drive control with a rear steering system.

Profihopper 4WDi d0 4565The angle of the steering wheel sets the amount of oil going to each individual front wheel motor to push the machine around in a virtually nothing turning circle, yet with the intuitive feel of having a steering wheel rather that the steering levers. On the 4WDi, as the name would suggest, the rear wheels are also driven but only when additional traction is demanded, hence the term 'intelligent'. Get on some steeper terrain or on wet slippery conditions then the rear wheels help to propel the machine plus prevent unnecessary scuff marks whilst turning. Now with ROPS protection and seat belt, it allows the Profihopper to go where no other PH has gone before.

The changes in the new Profihopper 1250 range, though, are not just in the drive line, the new models also feature the new PowerCompactor cutting deck. The auger conveyor system that makes the Profihopper unique in the market has now been overhauled with a combination of a new design to the flights on the cross auger with a 50% bigger diameter horizontal auger. This means that the conveyor system can cope with double the material flow and hence allows the 1250 i-Drive and 1250 4WDi to mow at much higher forward speeds and features a cleaner col-lection in longer material as well.

With a simplified drive-line, less belts, new chassis and engine mounting, vandal-proof diesel tank, automatic radiator cleaning as standard, rake and reach adjustment on the steering wheel, new dash board, control panel, handbrake, etc, etc, - the list is endless - but the fundamental principle of the Profihopper is maintained: the unique tool for any season, be it grass, litter, spring bulbs, hedge cuttings, it will clear it all, in any weather and all this with the ultimate in manoeuvrability and with benefits such as tool-less blade change, without the need for time consuming high maintenance.

To see the new PH models, come and see Amazone Groundcare on Stand S35 at IOG Saltex, Windsor from 6th - 8th September 2011, the kettle's on ready!
