Arsonists destroy cricket club lodge

Arsonists have dealt a city sports club a new blow, burning down the groundsman's lodge in a weekend attack.

The three-bedroom house at Ryhope Cricket Club had become a drugs den and drop-off point in recent months after the previous tenant left, say officials.

The club's stewardess was hoping to move into the property before the building was destroyed in Saturday's blaze.
