Arsonists strike at cricket club
A Cricket club fears arsonists who destroyed their ground's storage sheds, causing up to £10,000 damage, may strike at the club's £120,000 new pavilion.
Tim Parker, captain and groundsman at Woolpit Cricket Club, said he was disgusted by the attack in the early hours of Saturday morning.
He blamed mindless vandals who he believes are deliberately targeting the ground. The arson, which destroyed the club's two storage sheds and a range of valuable equipment used to maintain the pitch, followed a spate of petty crime.
