Bolton Wanderers Launches Community Initiative With Partners Yara And ETT
YARA UK Limited, Environmental Turf Technology and Bolton Wanderers have joined together to create the "Be our Guests @ Bolton Wanderers" initiative, a community team project offering community based organisations and charities free tickets to every Premier League match at the Reebok Stadium for the 2008-09 season.
Speaking at the launch of the partnership at the club's training ground on Wednesday, Bolton Wanderers manager Gary Megson said:
"With around 4000 tickets to be distributed free to the community, this is a fantastic project between the football club and its partners Yara and ETT. It's a great opportunity for people who don't normally have the chance to experience Premier League football to have a good day out following the Wanderers."
Richard Lawrence, founder of Environmental Turf Technology added:
"Everyone at ETT was delighted to have been able to work with Yara and Bolton Wanderers with this exciting scheme to involve the community in sport. We want to see all types of groups involved, with girls and boys enjoying sport at the highest level. We are also happy for organisations to apply for tickets to be used as fundraisers for good causes and charities, basically anything and everything that helps."
Richard continued,
"For many years we have had a friendly association with Bolton Wanderers and they have always made us and our guests feel welcome at the Reebok so we were delighted to become involved with this community scheme, as we are certain that the Wanderers will make all the guests as welcome as possible."
ETT and Yara have worked as a team with Richard Norton the Head Groundsman at Bolton Wanderers for a number of years, consistently improving playing surfaces for the First Team and Academy.
"The development of specifically formulated fertilizers for use on professional fine turf is an important part of Yara's product portfolio" commented Yara UK's Marketing Manager Rosie Carne.
"We are excited to have this opportunity to extend our involvement beyond producing a good pitch to taking part in this community initiative. Many of our customers are involved in farming, and we hope the "Be Our Guests @ Bolton Wanderers" project will also appeal to young Farmers Clubs and other rural organisations interested in football, to attend matches themselves, or to raise money through auctioning and raffling tickets".
Anyone involved with a community group, club, charitable organisation or caring for those who need help can apply for tickets from today either by writing or emailing football@emailett.co.uk
