Compact Overseeders Give Big Benefits

7470.JPGIf just re-seeding, then the Vredo compact overseeders are designed to enable greenkeepers to renovate turf surfaces quickly and effectively by providing great manoeuvrability for maximum performance.

Available with operating widths of 1.0m, 1.4m, 1.8m and 2.2m, they exert very low ground pressure, minimising the risk of compacting the surface - a problem associated with larger, heavier equipment. The machines own weight is low and it is coupled closely behind a compact tractor.

A row of discs make V-shaped slits in the compacted soil, to minimise soil disturbance, and gives a seeding width of just 75mm. The V-shaped slits help preserve the existing structure of the rootzone and ensures the treated ground can be brought back into play as quickly as possible. Seed distribution rate is easily adjusted. A roller closes the slit to provide ideal germination conditions - tests show that 90-95% of applied seed germinates giving a tightly knit, strong sward. This helps turf vigour in the early stages and prevents the ingress of weeds or undesirables like poa.

Richard Campey says, "These machines are designed to enable greenkeepers to renovate turf surfaces quickly and effectively."
