Council grows its own trainees
A new apprenticeship scheme has been launched in an award-winning council parks department.
Bath and North East Somerset Council was going to take on two new trainees - but has actually recruited three after receiving more than 60 applications.
During their two years of training, Tom Gladden from Kingswood, Neil Dare from Bath and Steven Angell from Peasedown St John will also be attending a day release course at Norton Radstock College. They will be undertaking a Level 2 National Vocation Qualification in horticulture and groundsmanship, along with additional qualifications.
