County Turf acquires Cannons’ business

North Lincolnshire-based turf producer County Turf has acquired the business of Cannons Turf.

Andy Fraser, County Turf's managing director said that he'll continue to service Cannons' existing customers with excellent turf for many years to come.

"We're committed to providing Cannons' customers with same high levels of service and premium quality turf that our loyal customers receive," he stated.

County Turf was set up by Andy in 1995. Prior to the acquisition of Cannons Turf it comprised 1,100 acres and employed 22 staff.

This year it has supplied turf for the Reebok Stadium pitch at Bolton Wanderers, Ibrox Stadium for Glasgow Rangers, a Gaelic football pitch in Newry, Northern Ireland and Darlington Football Club.

County Turf is a member of the Turfgrass Growers Association, hosting its 2007 turf show and Turf Producers International.
