Crocodile Dundee!
When trading began in 1874 during the reign of Queen Victoria no-one could have envisaged the future history and enviable reputation of the 'Crocodile' brand for the quality and reliability of all its manufactured products that has become reality today.
As an initial manufacturer of sugar cane harvesting knives, along with an extensive range of agricultural harvesting tools, the company have adapted the same cutting edge technology to develop an impressive range of replacement cylinder mower blades and bottom blades. These are specifically designed to fit a variety of the most popular commercial mowing machines, including John Deere, Jacobsen and Toro.
With ISO 9001 total quality management and a dedicated commitment to service, the company operates to the highest international standards and all of its products come with a lifetime guarantee against breakages.
At their 60,000 square foot factory in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, Crocodile Golf Products has been a specialist for over forty years in the manufacture of replacement rotary grass and Turfcare products and has recently launched a comprehensive range of high quality cylinder blades and bottom blades.
QUALITY REPLACEMENT PARTS
At a time when capital projects are being withheld and every golf course is looking to save money, the market for quality replacement parts that extend the life of existing machinery is seeing something of a renaissance. The global market for 'golf-type' cutting blades is represented by well over 30,000 golf-courses worldwide of which over 2,700 are in the U.K. and over 500 are in Scotland, where in association with Premier Parts U.K. a replacement part distributor operating out of Cupar, in Fife, Crocodile Golf Products has now ventured north of the Border to the very home of Golf.
Owner and proprietor of Premier Parts U.K., Mr Nigel Buchanan, who has supplied 'Crocodile' cylinders and bottom blades to golf courses around the Fife, Tayside and Lothians area, including Piperdam Golf and Leisure Resort, Letham Grange Golf and Country Club, Downfield Golf Club and Charlton Golf Club commented that 'our customers tell us that 'Crocodile' cylinders and bottom blades are as good as the original OEM parts'.
Pictured below with Paul Tanner, Business Development Director of Crocodile Golf Products and Brian Heggie, Head Greenkeeper of Piperdam Golf and Leisure resort, Nigel added that "the addition of replacement 'Crocodile' bottom blades has complemented the performance of their John Deere greensmowers and fairway mowers.
The bottom blades are uniquely manufactured from high quality carbon, boron or silicon manganese spring steel sections hot-rolled in their own rolling mill which are then completely through-hardened to 45 to 50 HRC before being precision ground to give a variety of heights of cut ranging from 13mm on the fairways down to 1.5mm for use on the fine turf areas around the tees and the greens. Head Greenkeeper, Brian Heggie commented that "using Crocodile bottom blades on our John Deere 2500 triple mower and on our 220A walk behind mower has proved to be a viable decision as we are reducing cost and also getting a great performance!"
