Dandy's Win E-Commerce award 2006

Chester based DANDY'S TOPSOIL was awarded with the highly acclaimed E-COMMERCE AWARD 2006 on Friday the 1st of December at The University of Wales, Bangor in North Wales.

The award was presented in front of over 250 business leaders including The Vice President of AIRBUS UK Mr Phil Swash and The Chief Constable of North Wales Police, Mr Richard Brainstorm by the Mistress of ceremonies Ms Sian Lloyd.

The E-COMMERCE AWARD 2006 was supported by The Daily Post and HSBC Bank, it was presented and sponsored by OPPORTUNITY WALES.

Judges commented on how professional the DANDY'S TOPSOIL website was and how easy it is to use, offering over 100 landscape products online including delivery prices to any location on the UK Mainland.

Managing Director of DANDY'S TOPSOIL Mr Adam Dandy said: "Our website has become the backbone of our business, it not only gives us an attractive 'shop front' but it also provides our customers with a pressure free way of viewing all our products along with all inclusive delivered prices twenty four hours a day.

The Website has helped double the turnover of the business in just two years, it has helped transform the business into a Market Leader within the UK Topsoil Industry and the DANDY'S name into a recognised benchmark of quality within the landscaping and horticulture sectors nationwide. I have accepted this award on their behalf and would like to dedicate it to the late Mr John Carter, our UK Sales Manager who sadly passed away last month, John was an exceptional man who would have been over the moon to see DANDY'S TOPSOIL being recognised in this way. His widow Mrs Libby Carter represented John at the awards ceremony on Friday."
