Dennis has expanded its range
Leading British manufacturer Dennis has expanded its range, introducing a petrol engined version of its renowned Premier cylinder mower, a firm favourite with sports clubs, football stadia, contractors and local authorities.
For customers who prefer not to use diesel, the Petrol Premier offers the opportunity to purchase a top quality, heavyweight mower which gives an enviable striped finish.
The unit is powered by the proven Honda GX340 electric start engine which incorporates the latest Honda low noise, low vibration technology. At the Dennis factory, the newly installed high technology 3D CAD system was critical in the high speed development of this product. The new drive system allows flexibility for customers to choose slow or high speed operation.
Width of cut is 760 or 910mm (30 or 36in), with height of cut easily adjustable from 6-57mm. A cast rear roller gives positive traction in all conditions, while its three section design and oil bath steel geared differential increases manoeuvrability. Steering brakes are standard, for easier turning at the end of a run.
Dennis prides itself on producing top quality equipment, and the Premier is a superb example of this, with strong, modular construction making for easy maintenance. The company is also innovative and has invested heavily in R&D to tackle issues of importance to its customers, such as vibration and noise.
Managing director Ian Howard explains: "While for many groundcare tasks, the low cost of diesel is attractive, there are other considerations which we have aimed to tackle with the new Petrol Premier. It combines a design which has proved highly popular at some of the most prestigious sports grounds in the country with the latest fuel system technology."
