IMG 5749Dennis mowers are set to put in a winning performance at the European Football Championships, known to millions of fans simply as Euro 2012.

Hosted in Warsaw, Wroclaw, Poznan and Gdansk in Poland and Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kiev and Lviv in the Ukraine, no less than five of the stadia to be used for Euro 2012 are brand new and purpose-built.

The tournament starts on Friday 8th June with the final on Sunday 1st July, with the first fixture for Roy Hodgson's England squad against France on 11th June in Donetsk.

In preparation, the England squad will train at Hutnik, Poland where a major reconstruction of the pitch has been carried out by leading sports turf consultants, STRI, ensuring England have first class training pitches. The STRI worked with a number of partners including Dennis, CRL International, Everris and Barenbrug.

Dennis has supplied 16 G860s with eight-blade cassettes into all eight main stadia and two G860s with eight-blade cassettes into the England training ground.

These mowers are the choice of leading groundsmen worldwide, with their cassette system offering exceptional versatility, while the low ground pressure and impressive manoeuvrability produces superb results on state-of-the-art pitch constructions.

The prestigious order follows the supply of Dennis equipment to previous high profile tournaments including Euro 2008 in Switzerland and Austria and the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

Dennis was chosen because of the proven reliability of the machinery, the exceptional quality of cut and presentation offered by Dennis's high specification cylinder mower and the company's renowned back-up support.

An added bonus is the post-tournament history from previous high profile events, where groundsmen have been able to maintain the high standards of pitch presentation in the legacy phase, enhancing the future of football in those countries.

The Dennis G860 - enables the host clubs' groundsmen to use world-class equipment and techniques to continue to cut the grass and present the pitches to international stadia quality long after the tournament has finished and the fans have headed home.
