Dial-in for perfect Hydration and win a trip to play golf in the USA
Dial-In to the perfect hydration solution for your turf and you could be in line for a trip to the New York to play golf on two top courses - including a recent US Open venue.
Dial-In is a new hydration programme being launched by Vitax at BTME this month and is designed to provide the ideal hydration solution for all soil conditions. Every course manager or greenkeeper who signs up for an initial, no obligation, Dial-In survey, will be entered in a draw for the fabulous four-day trip to New York and the chance to play on two world class golf courses.
The Dial-In programme utilises three principal products including:
OARS, a product designed to tackle the causes of hydration problems by removing the build up of organic acids that coat the surface of sand particles leading to water repellency and localised dry spots.
Aqua-Aid, a penetrant wetting agent designed to uniformly disperse water throughout the soil profile.
Aquifer, which is designed to manage water repellency by providing uniform downward and lateral water movement in the top several inches of the soil.
Additional products may also be recommended where required, including:
AquaMaxx, which is formulated with a surfactant to relieve water deficit stress, improve transpiration capabilities of turf and enhance root establishment, development and growth.
Percol-8, a cost-effective, biodegradeable wetting agent, formulated for use on fairways, banks, slopes and general turf, which is designed for injection into irrigation systems.
.
The Dial-In programme takes a scientific approach in order to provide the ideal combination of products for correct hydration on each golf course.
"In order to implement this, it is necessary for one of our technical representatives to visit the course," explained Vitax Commercial Manager Daniel Wilkinson. "Soil type, turf condition, root development, climate and water quality can all affect how water is available in the soil. Based on the analyses of all these factors, we will provide a recommended programme of action for each course.
"The big advantage for course managers and greenkeepers is that, instead of basing their hydration programme on guesswork, they will be able to implement their programme based on actual scientific data and achieve the results they require."
Principal products in the Dial-In range are OARS, Aqua-Aid and Aquifer. If a water management problem exists, OARS will definitely be required. It provides a perfect start to the Dial-In programme and a long term solution to the problem. Aqua-Aid and Aquifer are designed to provide a immediate 'fix' to existing problems. Aqua-Aid is a penetrant that dries the surface and promotes water movement, while Aquifer provides hydration.
The two products are tank mixable and, based on the survey findings, the Dial-In programme recommends the rates of each product to use to fit varying conditions and the micro-environment on each course.
The new Dial In programme will feature on the Vitax stand (Hall A, Stand No 8 ) and everyone who signs up for the initial consultation will be entered in the draw for the trip to New York.
