Don't risk a 'will - fit' this spring says Lely

Spring is a key time of year to consider your turf equipment and its performance, but never more so than this year after the wettest winter on record.

With the ground in better shape and spring course renovation underway, Lely says it's imperative users' Toro equipment is up to the job of looking after that all-important new grass.

Well-maintained bottom blades are vital in producing a quality cut and genuine Toro bottom blades are the best there are, outperforming 'will-fit' inferior quality parts.

Recent research at Toro headquarters in America proves this point. In tests focused on many physical characteristics, in particular the flatness of the blade and positioning of the chamfered mounting holes, results showed that competitor bottom blades failed in over 50 percent of Toro quality specification standards.

Dull bottom blades damage grass, affecting after-cut appearance and the long-term health of the turf. Yet bottom blades can be an area where buyers decide to cut corners, choosing an inferior, spurious part in order to save money.

Dan Dubas, at sales and marketing for Lely Toro Parts, says this is a false economy: "The saying 'you get what you pay for' is certainly true when it comes to parts, and, in the case of bottom blades, opting for a cheaper and inferior part doesn't make long-term sense when you have a Toro machine."

For many, Toro machines are the Rolls Royce of the turfcare world and most would agree you wouldn't put anything other than a genuine part in a Rolls Royce.

Lely says the same applies to a Toro. And opting for genuine Toro bottom blades means you can be assured of superior performance in form, fit and function.
