E-Z-GO preferred golf car for course resorts

La Reserva Golf Club and Almenara Golf Club, both owned by NH Resorts in Sotogrande, Costa del Sol have selected E-Z-GO as their preferred golf cars. Two large fleets of vehicles were delivered last year by local E-Z-GO distributor, Green Mowers. E-Z-GO is a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company.

La Reserva Golf Club, despite its tender years, is one of the most prestigious courses in Spain. It features an 18-hole course designed by Cabell R. Robinson, and provides its 300 members with an excellent test of golf, complemented by a lively social life of its magnificent club house. The club has taken delivery of a fleet of 50 E-Z-GO RXV electric golf cars.

Lucas de la Puente, General Manager responsible for both courses said, "The electric RXV is undoubtedly the best golf car out there on the market today. Their styling is excellent and the automatic braking is a superb feature, especially on a hilly course such as La Reserva. Most of our members are between 55 and 85 years old and the RXV is very comfortable and easy to operate. Very importantly, they complement the image here at La Reserva, where everything we do is done to the highest standards.

Almenara Golf Club is a 27-hole facility, with the air of a natural park, and was created by the famous British designer, Dave Thomas. It is surrounded by pine and cork trees and two lakes that Thomas has masterfully integrated into the course. Its 27 holes provide golfers with the option of three different 18-hole rounds. Here the club opted for E-Z-GO's TXT golf car.

"The TXT golf buggy is an excellent choice for Almenara. It's rugged design and ease of operation ensures that we can provide our guests with a pleasant golfing experience, one they would want to share with their friends. The regenerative braking works well and we can programme the top speed to suit our operating needs," Lucas de la Puente added.
