EcosolEcosol Turfcare was the only British exhibitor at GreenExpo, held in Bordeaux in November 2011.

Operator of the Drill n Fill/Deep Drill aerators and sportsturf maintenance and renovation systems, Ecosol has just returned from a highly successful visit to the French greenkeepers' association exhibition, taking place over three days at the city's lakeside venue. Ecosol MD, Bretton King was impressed by the quality of the visitors. "We've seen increasing numbers of European golf clubs booking us for Drill n Fill contract work and machine sales over the past few years," he said, " so a personal presence on the Continent was a no-brainer.

"We had a lot of informed interest in Drill n Fill from the major clubs, some of whom made definite bookings and there was evidence that smaller clubs were co-operating to book the system between them. In addition it was great to meet several satisfied customers, from management to greenkeeping staff."

Ecosol Turfcare has had a busy year which included Drill n Fill at golf clubs including Downfield, Northampton and Golf House Elie; Deep Drill on cricket grounds such as Headingley and Northants and a good reception of its new tool, the Sand Filler, for deep linear scarification and sand injection. This is a proven frontline technique for achieving better fine turf surfaces and the new Sand Filler gives the golf course manager the opportunity to tackle the increasingly important task of organic matter management in a much more convenient way. The Sand-Filler is unique in that it can scarify, collect and fill all in one pass. Ecosol's satisfied customers included Mid-Herts and Minchinhampton Golf Clubs.

For 2012, several sportsturf construction projects are planned and Drill n Fill operations in France, Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Holland are already booked. "Despite the rough financial climate, we are reassured that our customers are realising the long-term benefits of continuing to invest in their turf which safeguards the facility for the future," says Bretton King. "We appreciate their foresight and loyalty and feel that the company - client relationship is more important than ever before, both here and in Europe. "

Ecosol taking a stand in Hall M of BTME Harrogate in January, where visitors can meet Bretton King and Nigel Berry, operations manager and see the revolutionary Drill n Fill machine and the Sand Filler. They will be able to get expert advice about their turf problems and no-obligation quotes.
