Hayter at Scotsturf
Hayter will be showing a wide range of Mowers at this years Scotsturf, see them on the following stands: C3, C4, C13 & C14.
The Toro Groundsmaster 360 represents an entirely new category of mower. It combines the best control features of the traditional out front rotary mowers with the productivity and agility of a zero turn radius mower. The result is unmatched productivity coupled with unprecedented manoeuvrability.
The Groundsmaster 360 features the Quad-SteerTM four-wheel steering system which, with the control provided by a steering wheel, minimises turf damage in even the tightest turns. The new product is available in either two-wheel or four-wheel drive, or four-wheel drive with a factory-installed cab. The 183cm (72") cutting deck, proven on the Groundsmaster 7200 Series, is available in either side-discharge, rear-discharge or recycler configuration.
Ergonomics and driver comfort are important features of the Groundsmaster 360 with clear sightlines, fingertip controls and a suspension seat with isolation mounts. The factory-installed cab includes heating, air conditioning and an air suspension seat. A comprehensive range of attachments is also available
New Toro Compact Triples
Scotsturf sees the first UK show appearance for the Toro CT2120/CT2140 two and four wheel drive compact triple turf mowers. These new triples were previewed under the Hayter brand at IOG SALTEX last year and launched in April 2010. The arrival of the full production units signals the start of a transition to the Toro brand on all Hayter commercial products. These are the first ride-on Toro grounds products to be designed and produced exclusively at the Hayter factory in Spellbrook since The Toro Company acquired Hayter back in 2005. The CT2120/CT2140 continue to deliver the established Hayter characteristics of durability, reliability, ease of operation and servicing as well as many innovative features.
The CT2120/CT2140 have a transport width of only 132cm (52") making them easily transportable on a variety of vehicles and trailers. They are ideal for sites such as schools, caravan parks and cemeteries and anywhere where access is through gates or bollards. The new mowers have a cutting width of 212cm (83.5") and are powered by a Kubota 3-cylinder engine. Fuel consumption is low, making a major contribution to reduced running costs.
Manoeuvrability is excellent with independent cutter head lift plus a 'limited lift in reverse' function. This means that when reverse is engaged, the heads are automatically raised to the 'cross cut' position. They continue at full rpm so that when they are lowered, mowing continues without delay. This feature means that all mowing is in the forward direction of travel and the quality of cut is maintained.
Other features include LED lights to minimise bulb failure and downtime. An optional ROPS assist kit allows the operator to raise or lower the frame as necessary without assistance. Service access is unrivalled. There is a folding operator's platform and engine cover and the central bulkhead and the storage pod can be removed quickly and easily giving uninterrupted access.
The Electronic Control Module provides a number of benefits including on-board diagnostics, the limited lift in reverse function and the Overheat Protection System (OPS). This gives an audible and visual warning of an overheat and shuts down the cutter units, allowing the machine to be driven to a safe location to cool. Operation resumes when the engine temperature falls to operating level. The operator's working environment is ergonomically designed to optimise working conditions. An adjustable suspension seat and steering column contribute to operator comfort and reduced fatigue.
Toro Groundsmaster 7210 Zero Turn
The GM7210 on show is powered by a 26kW (35hp) Kubota liquid cooled turbo diesel engine. It is also available as the GM7200 with a smaller, normally aspirated engine. Cutter decks are engineered from crack resistant 7-gauge welded steel which is 85% stronger than those made from ordinary10-gauge steel. The heavy duty spindle assemblies feature a 23cm (9") base and absorb impacts that would damage others. The PTO cutter deck gearbox maximises power transmission from the engine to the cutters and the hydraulic deck lift eliminates the 'foot assisted' deck mechanism found on lower specification models.
The Toro GM7210 is extremely effective in operation. The choice of decks includes the 157cm (62") base unit shown and a 183cm (72") base unit. These can be configured as either rear-discharge or recycler decks. A 157cm (72") side-discharge deck option is also available. The unique bull-nose bumper design provides durability. It minimises the blow out of grass and dust and the leading edge is raised 6mm so grass stands up for a cleaner cut.
The GM7210 has a number of features to simplify maintenance. A large opening engine cover provides easy access to all main components and systems and the two heavy duty power distribution belts wear less than a single belt and can be replaced without removing the gearbox. A number of useful attachments are available which further extend the versatility of this excellent mower
Toro Mid-Size Pedestrian Mower
This walk-behind, zero turn offers the option of an 81cm (32"), 91cm (36") or 122 cm (48") rear discharge cutter deck. The 12.7kW (17hp) Kawasaki OHV V-Twin engine provides superb reliability and performance.
Operation is made simple by a Pistol Grip control layout. This gives independent control to each hydraulic pump and motor for maximum manoeuvrability. The spindle assembly is the industry's toughest and the 7-gauge rear discharge decks are extremely strong. They optimise cutting distribution and deliver a superior cut and increased productivity in any mowing conditions.
Semi-pneumatic caster tyres reduce downtime by eliminating flats and the optional cleated tyres and dual wheel kits on the model shown improve traction on slopes and in wet conditions. A 91cm (36") flail attachment is also available to provide a durable, high productivity mower for difficult, overgrown areas that would prove too severe for a rotary deck.
Also on display are the Toro LT3240 and T4240 (formerly the Hayter LT324 and Hayter T424), the 21" Heavy Duty Walk-Behind, the Harrier 48 Pro and 56 Pro and the Allen 453 Professional Hover Mower.
