Highly versatile Kubota Tractors provides the key to maintaining grounds at Caravan & camping site

kubota caravan pic.jpgAn award-winning caravan park which prides itself on the quality of its grounds has revealed that the secret behind its success is a Kubota sub-compact tractor.

Orchard View Caravan Park and Camping Site, also known as Orchardholidays.com, which is a three star English Tourism Board-rated site in Sutton St Edmund in Lincolnshire, uses the Kubota BX2350 to maintain the popular holiday resort's grounds to the very highest possible standard.

Ray Oddy, who has owned Orchard View for more than 15 years, said that he had previously used Countax and John Deere tractors but had bought the Kubota three years ago because of the legendary reliability of their equipment.

"I was looking for a compact tractor with PTO and the power to operate effectively with a variety of different attachments. I know people who have had Kubota tractors for 15 or 20 years and every day they just jump in, turn the key and go to work - there are never any reliability issues. That's essential for me because I need to use the tractor day in and day out to keep the site here in absolute tip-top condition."

With this in mind, his dealer recommended the Kubota BX2350 sub-compact tractor because of its high power to weight ratio, which means that it combines the performance and versatility of a compact tractor with the agility of a ride-on mower.

The BX2350 features a powerful 23hp 3 cylinder diesel engine, together with 4WD traction, turf tyres and independent mid and rear PTO. Equipped with hydrostatic power steering, cruise control and mid-mounted deck boasting three widths, it is purpose-designed to deliver unparalleled productivity and optimum operator efficiency for all-year-round, cost effective working.

It can be fitted with a variety of different attachments including flail mowers, grass collectors and loaders, making it one of the most versatile machines in its class.

"The BX2350 really has been worth its weight in gold. It's easy to operate, the spring seat is really comfortable and it's handy both for accessing confined spaces such as around the caravans and for putting gravel down," said Ray Oddy.

"It's also really quiet which is important because although our guests like to see neatly mowed grass around they site, we are known for our peace and tranquility, so they don't really want the sound of us mowing to be overpowering!"

However, as well as recommending the right machine for the job, Ray believes that their local Kubota dealer, TNS, has gone the extra mile when it comes to after-sales service. He explained that the company specifically made a tow bar for the BX2350 so that he could attach his grass box and is always on-hand to provide on-going maintenance and servicing whenever required.

"If I do ever have a problem, I go straight to the dealer; a quick call to they will immediately get someone out to us - so servicing is done here on site - which is essential as I need to use the tractor all the time and cannot afford any unnecessary downtime," added Ray.

Kubota provides a market-leading range of compact tractors and ride-on mowers, together with its class-leading RTV900 all-terrain utility vehicle and is the global leader in the sub 50hp tractor sector.

Their machines have a legendary reputation for quality, performance, reliability, ease of operation and outstanding value-for-money and a national network of Kubota tractor and groundcare dealers, such as TNS, provides the highest standards of advice and aftersales service.
