kubota b20.jpgAs a world-leading manufacturer of compact tractors, the launch of the new B20 Series compact tractors from Kubota hails a new era in this horsepower sector which Kubota has dominated since introducing its first B-series tractor, the B6000, in the mid 1970's.

Superseding the previous best-selling B1410 and B1610 models, the new B20 Series comprises 3 models. The 12hp B1220, the B1620, with a 16hp engine and the 18hp B1820.

Featuring the outstanding Kubota E-TVCS (Three Vortex Combustion System) liquid cooled diesel engines, which achieve increased power and torque whilst emitting fewer pollutants and using less fuel, these exciting new tractors provide the rugged performance, versatility and comfort to undertake the most demanding of jobs.

All models have a conventional type gearbox with 6 forward and 2 reverse gears, to ensure that the optimum operating speed is achieved. All models are 4WD (selectable on B1620 and B1820) and incorporate a differential lock for maximum traction capability.

The B20 range are all equipped with rear PTO to power a wide range of implements, and the B1620 and B1820 are also equipped with a mid PTO to power Kubota's 48" side discharge mid mounted mower, which will give a high quality finish to any lawn, whilst maintaining maximum manoeuvrability.

The hydraulic 3 point linkage has a lift capacity of 540 kgs on the B1620 and B1820 (430 kgs on the B1220), and a hydraulic changeover valve is standard on the B1820 and B1620, and as an option on the B1220 version, which facilitates the use of a tipping trailer.

All models have a new sleek design for improved visibility and comfort. With an enhanced operator environment, including a larger seat and wider driver area with more leg room, together with an increased fuel tank capacity of 14 litres, it results in reduced fatigue and longer working hours.

The improved operator environment includes a full rubber covered operator deck, a newly designed backlit instrument panel, a conveniently located parking brake, ergonomic large colour coded levers and guides for hassle free shifting and a four position (preheat/on/off/start) engine key stop. Power steering is available with the top of the range B1820 model and a vibration dampening mechanism helps reduce fatigue and increase comfort for day long operation.

Optional extras include an EC approved rear mounted ROPS kit for all models, as well as an optional back mirror kit, rear work light kit, front hitch kit and beacon lamp switch kit for both the B1620 and B1820 models.

Both the B1620 and B1820 models have the option of fitting the new Kubota LA213 front loader (not available for B1220). Designed and manufactured by Kubota specifically for these models, the LA213 features heavy duty sub frame mounting, single lever joystick operation, curved boom design for maximum visibility and includes the quick attach and detach system that requires no tools and allows loader removal in seconds. With a max lift capacity of 302kg and max lift height of 1921mm, the LA213 is perfectly matched to ensure that you get the most from the new B20 tractors.
