LDCA BLEC visit pics 2.jpgThe most recent Council and Members Day of the LDCA was hosted by BLEC Landscaping and Equipment at their premises in Deeping St James, nr Peterborough. The LDCA is always happy to have support from Members of the Association and this was a prime example of mutual co-operation.

The day was well attended by representatives of National Contracting and Drainage companies who were able to utilise the impressive conference facilities to hold their Association meeting. This was followed by an informative presentation by the renowned expert on drainage techniques; Mr Geoffrey Davison MA.

An excellent lunch was prepared by the BLEC team, led by the indefatigable Amanda Eastwood, who managed to ensure that all LDCA members were logged in, watered, fed and properly attired in their complimentary waterproof BLEC jackets before they set off on a tour of the BLEC production facilities and demonstration area. Holding the event at the BLEC premises gave everyone the opportunity to see the latest Vibra Sand-Injector in action and to give constructive views on performance. "The comments from such an experienced group of people were invaluable and extremely positive" said Gary Mumby of BLEC "Being able to consider the merits of a new machine in a non-sales environment was a very positive exercise and well worth the effort of hosting this event."

"We would like to thank BLEC for their on-going support as a key member of the Association and their involvement in LDCA activities" said Bruce Brockway LDCA Secretary "Naturally we hope this involvement is to the benefit of BLEC as well as the LDCA, but even more importantly our combined efforts are to the general good of the sports turf industry."
