Moray golfers’ sinking feeling
Worried members of a Moray golf club are calling for drastic measures to protect their course from flooding.
Garmouth and Kingston Golf Course began flooding on Monday, weeks after it was submerged when torrential rain spread across Moray.
Two days ago, an access road to the clubhouse was damaged when a small burn overflowed, and silt and stones were washed across the fairway.
Golf club members, including head greenkeeper Max Grant, 59, said yesterday that efforts to keep water and debris off the green were becoming "continual" and was costing thousands of pounds to repair.
